We are open according to State Guidelines. We require masks to be worn upon entering and gloves must be worn when shopping in Thrift Store and Book Shop. No Public Restroom

The Desk

Residents/taxpayers of PHILLIPS/AVON have full and free borrowing privileges.

Non-resident borrowing fee is $5.00 per household per year. This fee will be applied to Madrid Resident Patrons beginning June 1st, 2015.

All circulating items-books, magazines, audiobooks, AV materials, and videotapes are checked out for a two week period.

All items can be returned using the outside book deposit at the rear entrance of the library. There is a fine of ten cents per item per day for overdue items.

Thanks to the State of Maine, the University of Maine, and the Maine State Library, all Mainers have free access to high quality, subscription-only databases, and other resources through MARVEL!.  This searchable collection of magazines, newspapers, journals, dictionaries, encyclopedias, images and other sources may be accessed at the library or remotely from home, school, or work!  All you need is a computer with Internet access.  (If you are using MARVEL! outside of the library, you will be prompted to enter your name, library affiliation and zip code.)
